ABOUT OUR STAFF
 
Discovery Preschool was founded in 2005 by Rupert and Wendy Bond. Co-Owner and Executive Director, Wendy Bond has been in the Early Childhood Education field for over 30 years in the Missoula area. Wendy holds a Masters Degree in Arts Education from Columbia University Teachers College, New York. While no longer active in the classroom Wendy is actively involved behind the scene, overseeing policies and procedures, and will occassionally substitute teach when needed. Beginning August 2023 Wendy will return to the classroom as Co- Director and Co- Teacher at our Bonner location.

Snow Days- We will make every effort to remain open on snow days. If an emergency travel only has been issued, or is predicted to occur, we will close for the day, or have delayed opening. Please call before attempting to bring your child to the Center.

Co-Owner/ Food Program Director: Rupert Bond was born in Manchester, England. Rupert lived in Spain for 14 years, and was a translator and taught Spanish to English speakers, and English to Spanish speakers (children and adults). Rupert has been teaching Preschool in Missoula for over 10 years.
 
Director, Discovery Preschool & Childcare: Linda White has been in Early Childhood education and with our facility for over 12 years. She has been Director since Jan. 2016, and is lead teacher in the 4-5 classroom.
 
Director, Discovery Preschool & Infant Center: Jessa Aipperspach has been the Director of our Brooks street location since opening in Jan. 2016. Jessa has an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education from UM Western.  Jessa is also Lead teacher in the 4-5 classroom at our Brooks Street location.
 
Our staff members at our Centers have various backgrounds and educational experiences. Lead teachers are required to have a minimum of two years of Early Childhood experience and/ or a degree, or are currently working towards a degree in Education or a related field. It is required that all staff must have State background checks annually, out of state fingerprinting when necessary, have current and up to date CPR and First Aid Certification, and must complete additional yearly training coursework in Early Childhood Education according to the hours they work per year. Our infant/ toddler teachers must also complete Safe Sleep and Health & Safety training as required by Montana Childcare Licensing. Our staff are listed on the Montana Early Childhood Practitioner's Registry and many are working on degrees in Early Childhood Education or another field or currently have a degree in Early Chilhood Education or another field.
 


 

RATES & POLICIES

Daily rate- 6 to 10 hours per day

$ 45.00 day (Children 2-5) 
$ 50.00 day (Infant/Toddler Program-Children up to 24 months)
Rates to increase August 14th, 2023 to $50/ $55 a day  
 
 There is also a key card deposit of $30 for 2 entry key cards at our Brooks Street Center.
 
To reserve a space please send in the Registration form with a reserve space fee of $100 (this is applied to your first week tuition).  Registration fee $25. We offer sibling discounts for full time enrollment. We accept Best Beginnings Scholarships (State Pay).  For more information about State funded scholarships please go to
